Diploma in Pharmacy


1. Eligibility :
Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics as Optional subjects
2. Duration :
The Course will be extended over a period of two academic years with each academic year spread over a period of not less than 180 working days. On succesful completion of the course the Candidates will have to undergo 500 hours practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months in one of the hospitals approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and assigned by the authorities.

5. Fee Structure : Tution Fee : 34000 Per Year & Caution Money : 7500 Rs (Only First Year)

6. Age :
The applicant should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission to the course as on 31st December.
7. Course Content :
The candidate admitted will have to undergo a course of study which will include the following subjects as per Educational Regulation 1991.

1. Pharmaceutics I (Theory and Practical)
2. Pharmaceutical Chemistry I (Theory and Practical)
3. Pharmacognosy (Theory and Practical)
4. Biochemistry & Clinical Pathology (Theory and Practical)
5. Human Anatomy & Physiology (Theory and Practical)
6. Health Education & Community Pharmacy
Second D.Pharm - Syllabus
1. Pharmaceutics II (Theory and Practical)
2. Pharmaceutical Chemistry II (Theory and Practical)
3. Pharmacology & Toxicology (Theory and Practical)
4. Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence (Theory)
5. Drug Store & Business Management (Theory)
6. Hosptial & Clinical Pharmacy (Theory and Practical)
8. Examination :
Examination is conducted by the Rajasthan University of Health & Sciences. An examination will be held at the end of each Part I and Part II Course. Minimum marks required for passing the examination in each subject

9. Promotion :
Candidates who have appeared for all the subjects in Part I examination and have passed for at least four subject will alone get promotion to the Part II class.
10. Attendance :
Only such candidates who have regularly and satisfactorily undergone the course of study by attending not less than 75% of the classes both held in theory and practical separately in each subject will be eligible for appearing for the examinations.
